Check the room before opening it

Look at outdoor AQI, pollen conditions, temperature, and humidity. Open windows for brief ventilation only when outdoor air is the better source and conditions are safe.

Use a hygrometer for moisture decisions. Condensation or persistent dampness calls for source correction, not more purifier speed.

Handle textiles gently

Turn back bedding to air it without snapping or shaking it. Wash sheets and pillowcases on a regular schedule using their care labels, and damp-dust nearby hard surfaces.

Vacuum the floor and upholstered headboard with effective filtration. A purifier cannot remove dust mites or particles embedded in bedding.

Set up the next night

Make sure the purifier has clear intake and outlet space and is not blowing directly across the sleeper. Check the prefilter and choose a continuous fan speed that is quiet enough to keep using.

Avoid placing a humidifier where mist can wet the purifier, filter, wall, or bedding. Each appliance needs its own maintenance routine.
