Use fill marks, the lid, handle, base, cord, steam path, shutoff, and recall checks as one safety system.
Use cold water between the marked minimum and maximum, close the lid as directed, dry the kettle exterior, and seat it fully on its matching base.
Keep the station stable and away from sinks, counter edges, curtains, children, and trailing cords.
