Measure more than the body
Record the counter-to-cabinet height, depth to the backsplash, width beside other appliances, and nearby outlet. Include a raised tilt-head or a lowered bowl-lift bowl in the envelope.
Allow room for your hands, a flour container, ingredient additions, and hot pans moving through the kitchen.
Give a heavy mixer a stable home
Use a level counter that supports the appliance and does not place the cord near water, heat, or an edge. Keep the feet clean so they can grip.
Avoid carrying a heavy mixer for every batch. If cabinet storage is unavoidable, confirm the shelf rating and use a safe two-handed lift.
Protect airflow and mechanisms
Follow the manual's clearance and ventilation instructions. Do not crowd vents with towels, flour bags, walls, or decorative covers while the mixer runs.
A cover can control dust only when it fits safely and is completely removed before operation.
Assign accessories a home
Store bowls where they cannot chip or trap moisture and tools where coatings and edges are protected. Label model-specific pieces if the kitchen has more than one mixer family.
Count the real footprint of a pasta roller, grinder, second bowl, shield, and specialty beater before treating an attachment hub as free space.
